Kintamani, maybe one of the most beautiful high land in Bali. It’s located in Bangli Regency, about 2 hours drive to north east from Denpasar.

The villages of Kintamani and Penelokan provide a great view of the still active Mount Batur and its fantastic lake. Seven miles in diameter and sixty feet deep, Batur caldera is simply astounding. From Penelokan, take the road Kedisan on the shores of the lake where boats can be rented to cross over to Trunyan. The spectacular mountainous region around Kintamani with its deep Crater Lake and bubbling hot springs, make this region a must to visit. Batur Lake is the largest lake in Bali and the region offers some of the most spectacular views to be found anywhere on the island. Batur Lake also provides water for an underground network of streams and springs across the southern slopes of the mountain. Kintamani is really great for day trips, trekking or simply for getting away from it all for a few days.

Lake Beratan, Bedugul, BaliLake Beratan, Bedugul, Bali

The photos are taken in Lake Beratan at about 3 pm, when the mist coming down covered most of the lake.

Beratan Lake, Bedugul, located at Candi Kuning, Tabanan regency, Bali, Indonesia. It’s about 50 km distance from Denpasar town, north side the way from Denpasar to Singaraja.

Bedugul is popular mountain resort in Bali which has more green environment compared to Batur mountain and the Kintamani area. Bedugul also has important meaning to the history of Bali and the development of highland farming. Bedugul basically has 3 interesting places such as Bedugul Botanical Garden, Ulun Danu Temple located by the lake of Beratan, Bedugul vegetable market, and now with the Bali Golf Country Club. The area of Bedugul with lake Beratan is very beautiful land with the continuation of other 2 lakes such as lake Buyan and lake Tamblingan.

About High Dynamic Range (HDR) Photography:
In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows. The idea of using several exposures to fix a too extreme range of luminance.

In these photos, I used 5 different exposures of photos, range of under, normal, and over.
